Tiyanna Stewart is a research intern at the Thomas B. Fordham Institute, who is currently pursuing a B.S. in human development with a minor in French at Howard University. During her undergraduate career, she has served as a research assistant for the school psychology department. She has been involved in two research projects: a study on the impact of hip-hop culture on achievement motivation and a research proposal about the giftedness and identity development of African-American women. Prior to her research internship, Tiyanna worked as an Urban Education Leaders intern with D.C. public schools in the Office of the Chief of Schools and the Office of Instructional Practice. In her free time, she enjoys playing and watching softball, learning languages, and listening to music.
