- Battelle has granted KIPP: Columbus $300,000 to develop a STEM teaching fellowship program. The program will pair new teachers at KIPP with mentor educators, who will provide support in STEM instruction. Congratulations!
- Congratulations also to United Schools Network’s Kathryn Anstaett, the founding director of Columbus Collegiate Academy–West (a charter school that Fordham authorizes). She has received the 2014 Excellent Schools Network’s Instructional Leadership Award.
- The second round winners of Ohio’s Straight-A Fund innovation grants are to be finalized on July 28. Some of those winners are already putting their projects into action, including this interesting DigiLit project in Cleveland Heights-University Heights City Schools to bring STEM education to special-needs students.
