Fordham Institute President Chester Finn discusses the Atlanta cheating scandal in an op-ed posted today on CNN.com. His message, essentially, is that as disturbing as this situation is, we shouldn't turn against tests and either do away with them or minimize them. We should work to improve our accountability systems, and we should focus on test security (and pay the costs of doing it right). We shouldn't abandon assessments because of cheating.
