As a child, my parents would threaten: If your toys are on the floor, they end up in the trash bin.
Yesterday, Orlando law enforcement offered parents another, more decisive, solution to children's untidiness when they blew up a toy pony.
Yup, that's right. The stuffed pony (a FurReal Friend made by Hasbro) was left in a cul-de-sac across the street from Waterbridge Elementary School in Orange County, Orlando. Folks apparently got suspicious; someone called the authorities, and it was investigated as a possible bomb. After a robot checked the expensive toy, the bomb squad loaded it with explosives, told the kids to stay inside, and blew Seabiscuit up. Was it worth it?
Well, the toy was later determined to be ?non-threatening', no little girl at Waterbridge Elementary School will ever ask for a pony for Christmas again and maybe, just maybe, those same little girls will start picking up after themselves in the play room.
