The discussion will center around CRPE’s new book Unique Schools Serving Unique Students, which argues that charter schools may be a new and successful way of addressing the special needs of special education children. Three of the authors and the tome’s editor will present; Nelson Smith (National Alliance for Public Charter Schools), Julie Camerata (D.C.
