I'm not sure how many people still read Time magazine, but the venerable weekly seems to be doing better than Newsweek. (Disclosure: I once worked for Time.)
Somehow, Henry Luce's youthful creation has managed to survive the dot.com tsunami and continues to publish ? in print ? a magazine that looks and feels healthy, and that still aspires to help set the nation's agenda (or mark its zeitgeist). ??And so it is worth noting the magazine's current cover story:? ?What Makes a School Great.?? It's a 16-page ?Report on Education.?
It might not break new ground for those of you in the policy trenches, but it's worth seeing what a bunch of smart editors, writers, and reporters think about the current state of our educational affairs. (Hint: Waiting for ?Superman? plays a starring role.)
