More unions are supporting Michigan's second round RTT application.
In the first round, labor leaders expressed as much frustration with the process as the substance, arguing that they were not consulted while the plan was being crafted and then given insufficient time to review the final product.
This time, they were at the table and seem more supportive of the proposal's content.
The state missed the finals the first time around by a significant margin and was a mile away from the winner's circle, finishing nearly 100 points behind DE and TN. Those points can't be made up by getting more buy-in.
So while it's generally a good thing that there's more consensus behind the state's plan, if that was accomplished by weakening reform, Michigan stands little chance in round two.
