Here's a head-scratcher:?Is Obey one of the smartest pols ever?or simply bi-polar?
Just weeks after he?the now infamous enemy of RTT and Obama's ?pet? education projects, as Randi Weingarten calls them?proposed, and helped usher through, an amendment that would swipe $800 million from the Education Department's budget ($500 mil from RTT, $300 mil from elsewhere), has sponsored another bill: The first version of ED's FY 2011 budget, including (I hope you're sitting down)?$800 million for RTT round three.
Let's put it this way: I would not want to face Obey in a hand of poker.
$800 million cut?$800 million appropriation. It's not the $1.35 bil that Obama asked for, but hey, we're in a recession right? Congress is trying to spend ?conservatively.?
I am?impressed? Speechless? Disgusted? All of the above?
