In last week’s Recommended Reading, “The cold union shoulder” (July 8, 2010), Gadfly said that administration officials were not invited to either teacher-union conference this year. In truth, the AFT at least (no word yet from the NEA) did invite President Obama and Vice President Biden to speak in Seattle. No administration officials, however, were scheduled to (and to our knowledge did) appear at either convention.
