Make sure to sign up for next week's event on one of the hottest issues around, school turnarounds. I'll be arguing against this work (and in favor of a more promising alternative), and Bryan Hassel will explain why he thinks turnarounds have much to offer if done right.
Then it gets really interesting. Baltimore's excellent schools CEO, Andres Alonso, will talk about his district's approach to persistently low-performing schools, and Emily Lawson, founder and CEO of the high-performing charter network DC Prep, will discuss the opportunities and challenges of starting new schools.
Lots of interesting discussion and plenty of audience participation expected.
The event is next Wednesday (January 28) at 2pm at Fordham's conference space. ??Don't miss it!
