1. So your district got a report card grade that reflects badly on you you didn’t like. What can you do? For Fairfield City Schools in Butler County, the answer is take a temperature check. The district is launching its first community opinion survey in more than a decade. (The Journal-News, 10/11/19)
2. For Canton City Schools superintendent Jeff Graham, who has much experience working in low-rated school districts, the answer is take pen to paper. Supe has two fairly unusual stats upon which he opines—personally, I’m glad to see that he does not resort to focusing on poverty/families—but I’m not sure he really makes his new points stick.
