- Did you know that in Ohio you can place a levy reduction issue on the ballot? I didn’t either until I read this story. They are allowed every five years, and the nine (!) such issues on the ballot in Mason City Schools yesterday were put there, it seems, in order to stop the clock on any new ones for at least the next five years.
