- No students in Columbus City Schools have attended in-person learning since March of 2020. Sports have been on hold since mid-November. Guess which one of those things district parents are agitating to have restarted? - Not that any of the above folks asked, but Governor DeWine yesterday said that Covid vaccinations would begin February 1 for school personnel across the state…as long as school leaders sign a document stating their intent to be in buildings in-person—either hybrid or fully in-person—for learning by March 1. No mention of extracurriculars here though. (Cleveland.com, 1/8/21)
- No mention of extracurriculars here either, but most private schools in Wayne County are reporting a sizeable boost in enrollment this year due, their leaders say, to their fully in-person academics. And even the one reporting a loss of students actually seems happy about that situation…for now. (Wooster Daily Record, 1/7/21)
