- You wanted the deets on Lorain City Schools CEO David Hardy’s job evaluation. You know you did. Well, here they are, in what is actually a clear and unambiguously factual piece. Will wonders never cease? (The Chronicle-Telegram, 8/30/19)
- The same cannot be said of this piece about school lunch. The level of fear mongering, innuendo, and baseless agendas in this piece (high-stakes testing will give your kids eating disorders!!) is enough to make me lose my lunch. (News5, Cleveland, 8/29/19)
- I would like to propose a new headline for this piece: 10 bills likely to go nowhere fast. But I imagine the one they used is better for their business. (Cleveland Plain Dealer, 8/29/19)
- Dayton City Schools this week celebrated the slightly belated graduation of 26 seniors who worked through the summer to complete their requirements and obtain a diploma. We get a bit of a look at why the students were behind, but very little idea of what they actually did in order to reach the finish line. The one student who was just a half credit short at the end of the year is the exception. Interesting, but a missed opportunity if you ask me. (Dayton Daily News, 8/28/19) Speaking of Dayton City Schools, the district’s urPTO group is now up and running. Its members were introduced at this week’s school board meeting, and they outlined their plans for the year. First up, creating actual PTOs in all of the district’s schools.
