In education, Gov. Ted Strickland is gathering input and, likely, putting the final touches on his education-reform ideas. The State Board of Education is looking to replace State Superintendent Susan Tave Zelman. In this special issue, we're bringing you a brief, summertime pastiche of recent thoughts and quotes for consideration. Terry Ryan, Fordham's Ohio vice president for programs and policy, had a recent op-ed in the Columbus Dispatch concerning the emerging debate in state education policy.
