Yesterday the Fordham Ohio team released its 2010 year in review, a synthesis of our work over the year and a document which we expect has already been printed out and is now hanging framed on your wall.
Well, hopefully you saw it and read or skimmed a good bit of it.
In the ed-reform world it's hard to keep up with the latest research, analysis, commentary, and opinions as there's just so much of it ? which is a testament to the strength of this moment and reformers' commitment to hard work on behalf of kids.? Sometimes it can be overwhelming, though, and so insightful work often slips through unintended cracks.
That's why we've collated our work across the year in one place, which we hope can be a resource to others working on the ground in Ohio or other states.
Be sure to check out Fordham's publications and policy analyses from 2010, which include:
- Our annual charter school authorizing report
- An analysis of achievement in Ohio's urban areas
- A book chronicling our efforts as a charter school authorizer and on-the-ground efforts advocacy for kids in Ohio and Dayton, especially
- Examination of student mobility in Montgomery County (Dayton)
- A look at lessons from high-performing, high-need public schools in Ohio
- Analyses and insights on a wide range of education issues, including accountability, charter schools, pensions, vouchers, virtual learning, federal education policy, and school spending.
